Biochar is a promising tool and resource for climate change mitigation, sustainable agriculture and post-fossil carbon based industry. At the same time, biochar is a challenging research topic, that requires interdisciplinary collaboration to produce meaningful results. Thus, this workshop aims at interdisciplinary exchange among PhD students at German universities and is jointly organized by the German Biochar Association and the Ithaka Institute for Carbon Strategies. Advanced master students and young PostDocs may equally apply.

Application and Preparation
Applications must be handed in by September 30 to firstname.lastname@example.org, including a CV and a short description (0.5 pages A4) of your current research project. You may suggest a topic for a working group. Participants will be asked to prepare a PechaKucha-style presentation, that must be handed in by November 1st.

Non-Members: 40-60 € incl. small lunch and coffee
